About This Cause
We are an institution that serves children, adolescents and young people living with HIV and disabilities in Mexico City. We have 30 years of work. Every day we provide medical, psychological and social assistance, as well as accommodation, clothing, food, medicine, education, sports, recreation, art and culture to our boys and girls. The lives of our boys and girls are not at risk and they are in stable condition. Our main task is to raise, educate and train our minors with love, help them develop their human potential, acquire life skills, become self-sufficient and become good men and women. AIDS continues to be a health problem in Mexico and in the world, it is an incurable disease Today, the current challenges have changed from health to parenting, to educational, pedagogical, affective and emotional issues, skills development and preparation for independent living. Our intervention is an intervention that deals with innovation with the implementation of our new Comprehensive Care Model for orphaned girls, boys, adolescents and young people living with HIV and disability. We have captured the experience of many years in the attention of these girls and boys in the implementation of programs and services that incorporate new methodologies, mainly positive parenting, life skills, multiple intelligences and art. These changes implied that now we not only take care of the comprehensive care of the girls and boys, but also, now we seek that our girls and boys transition to autonomy with the preparation for independent living and that they manage to take charge of their self-care after your stay at the Casa Hogar. Today our attention is focused on the effective and individualized follow-up of our girls and boys from a multidisciplinary vision, that love and respect are at the center of our intervention. We are training and raising awareness of the team of collaborators, we renovate and rehabilitate our facilities, to make them more suitable and friendly to the environment, to reduce our carbon footprint. We seek professionalization by creating the conditions and strategies, both operational and financial, that allow us the sustainability and long-term sustainability of our institution, guaranteeing its permanence in the future. Finally, we are committed to the SDG Sustainable Development objectives to end poverty, hunger, AIDS and discrimination against women and girls with the idea of achieving a better and more sustainable future for all.
