Promote the conservation and management of natural resources in Peru and transboundary areas with emphasis on wetlands and water quality through the development of training and education processes
About This Cause
The CNEH-Peru was born in 2006 to celebrate the first decade of the international CNEH. More than 40 training events have been held since 1996 on issues of wetland management and natural resources in general. Books and educational materials have been produced and distributed free of charge to community leaders, students, members of governmental and non-governmental organizations in Latin America and the Caribbean. The CNEH-Peru has produced numerous publications and participated in research projects both in Peru and in other Latin American countries. At the Amazon basin in Oxapampa we have been developing and education center for all people that want to learn about the amazon cloud forest, environment, science and be inmerse in the forest. Our mission is Providing resources and field experiences in the cloud forest for knowledge transfer in research, conservation and sustainable development through education. Our reason why is Contributing with the sustainable development of the BBOAY and facilitating the participation of international and national students in field experiences. Our values are Our actions are guided by values, which allow us to constantly improve our practices through self-knowledge, honesty, self-criticism, optimism, communication, cooperation, respect, fairness as well as social and environmental responsibility. We developed educational materials translating science into a common language using arts, music, technology and nature to teach about our environment, promote better solutions and improve our communities life quality.
