Mission Statement
Main goal of the NGO is to help animals (mostly dogs and cats) coming from animal's shelters and/or from intervention - animals that were taken away from their owners directly due to the poor living conditions and/or bad treatment. We aim to heal them, socialize and find them new, loving homes (trough adoption process).
About This Cause
NGO 2plus4 (two plus four) was founded in 2009 by animal's passionate. The activities are mainly focus on lower Silesia part of Poland. All the people engaged in NGO actives are volunteers; all the income is being dedicated to buy food and accessories, provide veterinary care and animal's transport to its new homes. Goals: - help abandoned animals, that had difficult past experiences - change of the misleading opinion that the adoption from a shelter is a big risk and cause frequent problems with animal's behavior - change of the perception of animal's adoption by public education, including outdoor events, workshops and activities for children etc. - promotion of a wise attitude and expected behaviors once having an animal (e.g. cleaning up after the dog, sterilization/castration) - promotion of an active time spending with a dog pupil (agility, obedience, frisbee, etc.) How do we work? - The pet is placed in a temporary home of one our volunteers - During that stay, the dog is socialized and trained by behaviourists and trainers - We try our best to get to know the dog (e.g. reaction on kids and animals; behavioral & energy assessment) - Once an animal is ready for adoption, we start with the adoption process and research for best new homes - During the entire stay in temporary homes all the animals are being provided with all necessary veterinary services, food, accessories and care
