Mission Statement
We are changing education. We want its goals to respond to the needs of students, teachers and parents. Therefore, our mission is to provide changes following the humanistic approach, according to which every action is preceded by a question for whom? and is based on positive relationships and constructive dialogue. We live in a world of dynamic change, so we know how important it is to meet the challenges of the present and the future. We see in them the potential to create a space for exchanging information, dialogue, developing creativity and soft skills. We build and strengthen digital and media competencies; we popularize conscious use of technological developments and modern teaching methods. We value the openness of resources, access to knowledge and inspiration. We build networks of exchange of experience and creative relationships based on empathy, trust and openness.
About This Cause
The Digital Coaction Association has been working since 2016. It is formed by a group of cooperating educators, mostly active and experienced teachers, who previously worked as part of the nationwide educational program Mistrzowie Kodowania (Masters of Coding) - one of the first Polish projects introducing common teaching of coding to schools, starting from an early age. The main goal of the Association is to support the education system, to improve its quality and efficiency by popularizing media and digital education, new technologies and innovative methods in modern teaching approach and to support teachers and educators in their daily challenges. Our area of activity is the organization and co-organization of trainings, workshops, conferences and seminars on programming, using information and communications technology (ICT) in education of children and adults, as well as preparing and publishing open-access educational materials (handbooks, scripts, games, etc.) which help to move around in the digital world. We also promote the wide range of resources of knowledge and already created materials. In recent years, we developed a variety of proprietary tools for learning programming and for using modern technologies in school, which inspire children and adults on a daily basis, encouraging them to try and undertake educational projects in their own environment. At the same time, we make sure that the content of our activities is tailored to the current educational situation and the needs of our recipients. That's why we carefully select and individualize thematic areas for each group we work with. It is important for us to observe the changes taking place in the world and to react flexibly and openly to them. Therefore, we are ready to provide support in various forms - on-site, but also online, thanks to which in recent months we done our best to actively assist teachers, students and parents during remote education. Our educators are a team of people dedicated to education. They are well aware of the specifics of working in school. They’re brought together by their educational experiences, the desire to share knowledge and - above all - the need to prepare the Polish school for the challenges of modernity. They prepare every training, speech or lesson script with attention to the content’s highest level, while taking into account the state of knowledge and interest of participants and taking care of a positive character of cooperation. As we cooperate with schools, cultural centers, teacher training centers and libraries on a daily basis, we are committed to create networks of support and exchange. That's why we create active, ever-expanding online spaces – Facebook pages of our Association and its ongoing projects, as well as Facebook groups, allowing for a free and creative exchange of ideas, resources and questions. We regularly moderate our channels, ensuring that everyone receives the expected support. Thanks to this educational exchange, we learn ourselves – we open ourselves to new perspectives, learn good practices and get to know inspiring people who approach their work with commitment and creative energy. At the same time, these are the spaces within which we announce and describe our upcoming projects, meetings, workshops and invite people to participate in them. All our activities are aimed at promoting the idea of lifelong learning, the idea of horizon-broadening education, the idea of smart education, which uses digital tools to improve the quality of the teaching/learning process and its organization. In the foreground of this process there are always relationships and a person, regardless of their age - a child, a teenager, an adult.
