About This Cause

For 14 years, our organization has been providing free social, community and humanitarian services for children in need, people with disabilities, families at risk, people looking for a job, elderly people unable to take care of themselves, communities marginalized and refugees. The program for which we are requesting funding is R.I.S.C (Responsibility, Involvement, School and Community). We want to continue this program, because until now it has had a positive impact in the community. In the last year, through this program, a number of 311 direct beneficiaries and another 351 indirect beneficiaries benefited from support. Thus, 167 beneficiaries were children between the ages of 3 and 16, 27 were elderly people unable to take care of themselves and 117 were families with more than 3 children (over 351 indirect beneficiaries) . The program aims to facilitate access to education without discrimination and with equal opportunities for children who come from disadvantaged families and communities in order to reduce the risk of social exclusion and also to support their families in order to overcome crisis situations and support them for social integration in the community from which are part The program has both an educational and a social component. The main activities carried out within this program are divided into two levels: one intended for children, and another intended for their families. The activities intended for children consist of: enrolling and supporting the child in a form of education, support in recovering educational deficiencies, educational activities in which children learn to write, read and count, organizing activities that enrich their general cultural background, creative workshops, personal development activities, non-formal education activities, financial education, psychological counseling, socialization activities, educational camps, organizing support groups. The organization provides children with access to body hygiene services, clothes and supplies throughout the school year and a hot meal or a sandwich per day, depending on the financial situation of the association. The activities intended for the children's families consist of: social assessment, psycho-social counseling, finding a job for unemployed parents, facilitating access to medical services, ensuring body hygiene and clothing hygiene services (the association ensures access to the shower, ensures washing of clothes so that children can attend school under normal conditions, and adults have the necessary hygiene to be able to attend work and be accepted in the community), the organization of support groups, support with food packages, medicines, clothes and items of strict necessity. In the year 2024, we propose to mobilize and raise funds in order to be able to purchase a land / building that we can furnish both with accommodation / care, as well as with multifunctional spaces for various activities. The space will function as a multifunctional center and will be intended both for children who come from very poor families, for young people who have left the child protection system and who are still unable to support themselves, but also for elderly people who are unable to take care of yourself. The center will offer after-school services, non-formal education and psychological counseling for children, temporary accommodation services, psychological/social counseling and finding a job for young people in difficulty who have left the child protection system and services accommodation and care for poor elderly people. If the space allows, we will set up a small farm with vegetables and some animals to ensure part of the food consumption in the center and at the same time to create an occupational therapy space for the beneficiaries of the services.
