Mission Statement

Bronx People Association is a Romanian non-governmental, apolitical, and non-profit organization, registered in 2018 in Bacău, Romania, in accordance with Government Ordinance no. 26/2000. Our mission has been, since the beginning, to support vulnerable social groups, mainly children and youths from orphanages, poor families, and rural areas, as well as refugees. We have designed multiple social integration programs to help children and young people from vulnerable areas overcome their problems, increasing their chances of gaining an independent and honourable future. As fundamental tools for optimal social integration, we use sports, non-formal education, and the stimulation of independent living skills, creating multiple opportunities for them to acquire and practice activities that facilitate their social integration and independent living: cooking (nutrition rules, traditional recipes etc.), painting, carpentry, gardening, etc., as well as communication, financial and entrepreneurial skills. We have also managed to getting our beneficiaries involved in volunteering, encouraging them to help other people create a more responsible local community. Finally, we support vulnerable groups with food, clothing, and healthcare.
