Mission Statement
A animal welfare charity based in Singapore. Thousands of animals suffer in Singapore without a voice to cry out. Causes for Animals is their voice. Helping the helpless and loving the unloved is our mantra and we spend everyday trying to make a difference in the lives of street animals, shelter animals, the abandoned, forgotten, ignored and sick.
About This Cause
MISSION Our mission is to save the lives of the homeless and unwanted companion animals of Singapore. To employ programs and policies to promote best practice, ethical, sustainable and compassionate treatment of these animals. CAS EXPERIENCE The CAS team has over 30 years of combined experience in Animal Welfare work. Some examples • An rescue and adoption program that has helped us achieve a success rate of 98% in our adoptions. • We have our very own stray management system that has been effectively preventing an increase of the stray population in the areas we oversee. • Sustainable fund raising and management through established campaigns ensuring long term viability. A STRAY FREE COUNTRY We want our community to have a wider acceptance for companion animals, regulating them with humane animal management policies. Our key focuses are designed to help drive us towards these goals. RESCUE AND ADOPTION • Establishing a repeatable and sustainable mode of rescuing stray animals. • Rehabilitation of animals using programs, techniques, environments to help challenged, unwanted animals become adoptable. • Building of fostering and volunteering networks: a vital component of education • CAS provides education packages for Singapore schools • Presentations and activities designed to engage all ages COMMUNITY CARE • Community Care Projects — helping the wider community • Provide resources and assistance for Street Feeders, rescuers, groups and organisation • Help with support programs for low income, disadvantaged and elderly animal lovers STRAY MANAGEMENT PROGRAM • Promote community responsibility • Working with Government organisations to promote more humane and effective solutions for ethical management of Strays
