VISION: Raise standards of medical care by creating opportunities of collaborative learning through the delivery of free surgery to children with facial deformities. MISSION: 1) Initiate platforms of learning through medical volunteering. 2) Deliver free surgical care to children with facial deformities 3) Establish training & education programmes for volunteers 4) Build a knowledge depository with an open-source model 5) Instil a sense of volunteerism in the community
About This Cause
Smile Asia is a global alliance of charities working to treat facial deformities like cleft lip and palate. We raise the standards of medical care by creating opportunities for collaborative learning and the exchange of best practices. We deliver free surgical care through medical missions and outreach centres. These initiatives build trust and bridge cultures among different communities. With activities across 20 countries, Smile Asia founding charities have delivered over 80,000 surgeries across Asia. The Smile Mission Ltd is its International Secretariat and a Singapore-registered charity.
