Mission Statement
Children of the Dawn cares and supports over 800 orphaned and vulnerable children in South Africa. We believe we can raise a generation of healthy, self-reliable and valued citizens.
About This Cause
Children of the Dawn currently cares and support 861 orphaned and vulnerable children in 8 rural areas of South Africa. Our beneficiaries are aged between 5 and 23. 74% of them are orphaned from at least one parent. Children of the Dawn’s modus operandi is to support one of the children in a family with very low income. By helping one child we can touch and uplift the whole family. Our activities rest on 4 pillars: Care Programme-daily and basic support to all registered children , Children in Action - for young children, My Future My Responsibility Programme - for teenagers aged 14 and older, Financial and Moral Support to students.
