As well as promote sterilisation and regular vaccinations. Pit Pals is a pro-life and pro-quality-of-life organisation. We are situated in and around the Melkbosstrand and Klein Dassenberg area of Cape Town.

About This Cause

We are an animal welfare organisation (non-profit) that deals with rescuing, rehabilitating and rehoming Power Breeds, in particular Pit Bulls. We are one of the few Breed Specific rescue organisations in Cape Town and South Africa. Where is our shelter ? We are situated on a farm in a rural area, about 60 kilometers from Cape Town. Our shelter has been build from scratch, in old stables who had been almost completely destroyed by fire. We begin with 5 kennels in 2017 and now we have 40. The farm doesn't have electricity and our water comes from a borehole powered by a pump with solar panels. What have we done since 2016 ? We have rescued and rehomed more 500 dogs and puppies . We are not a private rehoming agency and our goal is to help abandoned and abused dogs, to bring them back to health and find new families for them. We work with behaviorists to make sure our dogs are well balanced and suitable to be family dogs.
