About This Cause
We promote scientific entrepreneurship that supports marine reserves. Marine conservation is a complex balancing act - time, resources, equipment and experience. We ensure that 'limiting factors do not limit progress'. Our flagship science project has contributed 12 years of findings in a reserve that has now doubled in size. Uncovering the secret lives of apex predators shows us the places they need to survive - reserves allow oceans to heal. The RockHopper Academy provides resources to train young ocean conservationists to provide them the certifications and skills to undertake conservation jobs. Jobs that create, and rely on, non-consumptive use of healthy oceans. Camp Collette is a funded initiative bringing communities together on RockHopper ocean adventures.
