Mission Statement

United Way South Africa (UWSA) mobilizes the caring power of communities around the nation to advance the common good and our vision envisions a nation where all individuals and families achieve their human potential through Education, Income stability and Healthy lifestyles. UWSA mobilizes the collective caring power of communities to produce a healthy, well established and financially stable society. We serve predominantly the historically disadvantaged people in the communities, who are mostly uneducated or economically excluded given the previous apartheid system of governance in South Africa, that prioritized the minority groups and excluded the majority. These are vulnerable groups who mostly depend on government social grants for survival. United Way South Africa envisages a nation where all citizens have access to quality education and primary health services, equal rights and economic opportunities.
