Mission Statement

1. Treatment and therapy. To provide the handicapped with healthcare and therapy from doctors and experts to alleviate the symptoms. Lacking corporation and advice from doctors from all hospitals in providing treatment health care and rehabilitation. 2. Education. The Srisangwal School, under the auspices of the Foundation, was founded in A.D. 1965. It is responsible for educating handicapped children, both boys and girls, between the ages of 4 and 18. The students include both boarders and day students. The curriculum follows the standard curriculum of the Ministry of Education. The school covers from kindergarten to grade 9, and has special classes for the mentally handicapped. Once the students graduate from Srisangwal School, the Foundation will provide scholarships for those who are able to continue their education up to university level. Srisangwal School teaches us how to be a good person, well-liked and accepted by everyone. We can continue our education until we get a degree and start working. 3. Welfare and vocation. The Foundation helps to procure prosthetic legs and arms, wheelchairs, metal cast, and scholarship. Assists with training in the vocational training center, in accordance with the desire and capability of the disabled persons. 4. Disabled children service center. The Foundation has setup a center to service handicapped children to provide rehabilitation and living quarters for children from the provinces from the age of 4 -18 years. The center accepts a minimum of 300 students annually. Including both boarders and day students, who come for therapy. At the present time, there is a long waiting list for children who have applied to the center. The center is staffed with physical therapists, activity therapists, nurses, social workers, volunteers and caretakers, in order to provide care and assistance to the handicapped have opportunities to learn to be independent. 5. Rehabilitation. The Foundation organizes activities so that the disabled have opportunities to learn basic vocational skills and to take care of themselves, in preparing food, sewing, planting vegetables, garden, taking part in religious activities, Boy Scouts and Red Cross Youth Volunteer activities. This also includes promoting sports activities This also includes promoting aparts activities, for example, swimming, football, sending athletes to take part in competitions organized by government agencies or other organizations. The Foundation also organizes recreational trips both in Bangkok and up – country.

About This Cause

THE OPERATION OF THE FOUNDATION, The Foundation operates with the support of benefactors and various organizations, both from the public and private sectors, in order to meet an annual operating budget of 28 million baht, making fundraising a major task of the Foundation. The donations are used for the development of disabled as follows: 1 Expenses related to medical treatment and medical equipment, namely: 1.1 Treat and rehabilitate disabled children until they can be self-sufficient, within their potential 1.2 Produce equipment, artificial limbs, metal casts, wheel chairs, walking equipment and medicine. 2 Education scholarships: 2.1 Books, teaching equipment and school uniforms 2.2 Scholarships for students to continue their secondary and higher education. 3 Administrative expenses: 3.1 Food, boarding costs, salaries for staff and caretakers, especially caretakers for children with cerebral palsy, whose number are increasing 3.2 Maintenance and repair of medical equipment used in treatment and therapy
