Professional Development of Specialists: We are committed to the continuous professional development of specialists in the fields of prosthetics and rehabilitation. This includes offering advanced training programs, workshops, and conferences that enable professionals to stay updated with the latest technologies and methods in prosthetic care. 3. Equipping Healthcare Facilities: To support the effective provision of prosthetic services, we focus on supplying healthcare and prosthetics-orthotics facilities with the necessary equipment and resources. This includes high-quality prosthetic materials, advanced manufacturing technologies, and relevant medical devices that ensure optimal care for patients. 4. Informing Amputees about Prosthetic Options: We aim to raise awareness among amputees regarding the various prosthetics options available in Ukraine. Advancing Formal Education: Development of formal educational programs for prosthetists and orthotists is a priority. About This Cause
Protez Hub is dedicated to empowering Ukraine's prosthetics and rehabilitation industry. We aim to enhance the social integration of amputees, address the extensive medical needs of trauma survivors, and provide invaluable opportunities for education—both formal and informal—for Ukrainian professionals in the prosthetics and orthotics field. Since 2014, Ukraine has experienced profound instability, with parts of the country under occupation. The ongoing war, culminating in a full-scale invasion, has resulted in a sharp rise in the number of Ukrainians who have lost limbs. This situation is further compounded by the thousands who face limb loss due to chronic conditions like diabetes and cardiovascular diseases. Despite these challenges, the prosthetics and orthotics sector has made significant strides. We have witnessed improved access to advanced technologies, higher quality services for amputees, and crucial legislative changes—largely thanks to the tireless efforts of the Protez Hub team. In collaboration with our international partners, we have launched educational missions and conducted regular online consultations focused on upper and lower limb prosthetics and physical therapy. Our approach emphasizes collaboration and a range of expertise, with international professionals working hand-in-hand with their Ukrainian counterparts to select the best prosthetic solutions.
