Mission Statement
The Friends of Grasmere School (FROGS) organise fundraising activities and social events for families & carers of children who attend Grasmere School in Hackney. Everyone who has a child at Grasmere is automatically a member of FROGS.
About This Cause
FROGS is a registered charity which raises around £10,000 each year for the school. Each year we organise a Winter and Summer Fair and each term there’s a jumble sale. Recently FROGS have also entertained the school community with a disco, a quiz night, kids’ disco, comedy night and a promises auction. Events are well-attended and are a great way for families, carers and staff to meet socially and get to know each other. Project Playground is a FROGS-supported plan to improve the school grounds. FROGS meetings are held twice a term, all parents and carers are welcome - we plan ahead and decide how to spend the money we’ve raised. At September ‘s AGM, the Chair, Vice Chair, Treasurer and Secretary are voted in. All details of meetings and events will be posted on the FROGS noticeboards.
