Mission Statement
elop- is an established community-led LGBT mental health & wellbeing charity, which aims to promote, inspire, improve and maintain the mental health, wellbeing, empowerment and equality of LGBT+ community members. elop has been in existence for 27 years and delivers a range of high-quality frontline mental health support and wellbeing services including information, advice, counselling, workshops, support groups, youth & family support services, plus education, training and consultancy services to corporate, statutory and voluntary sector services and professionals.
About This Cause
elop provides dedicated, high-quality, user-centred, responsive and professional services to lesbian, gay, bisexual and trans (LGBT+) communities, which aim to promote, inspire, preserve & improve (emotional, mental, psychological, sexual, and social) health, wellbeing, safety and empowerment, whilst working to challenge and eradicate discrimination and inequalities faced by LGBT+ people. This elop undertakes through the provision of a range of services & activities including: • advice & information • signposting & assisted referral • support & advocacy • community safety & victim care • counselling & therapy services • mental health crisis prevention & intervention • social & support groups • youth & schools project • same-sex families service • consultation, training, representation & awareness raising • community activities, events & workshop; and • a range of community volunteering opportunities.
