Mission Statement
We are a small, rural, primary school. We have a building which is listed, as it was built in 1852. It stands in an area of outstanding natural beauty. We have no government funding to help maintain the fabric of the building and as such the school formed a Charitable Trust, to ensure we can independently finance this thriving, outstanding OFSTED school. Through many volunteers: both parents and friends of pupils, past and present, and pupils themselves, we constantly raise money to secure the future of the school. Recently we raised significant funds to build a new classroom to house existing pupils, as we needed to replace a port-a-cabin, which 3 year planning permission ran out, and could not be renewed due to the school being located in an area of outstanding natural beauty. We absolutely must have a protective facility in the form of a our charitable trust to ensure the education of our local children for decades to come.
