Mission Statement

The RSP is one of the largest and longest running sail training organisations in the UK. We have taken over 20,000 young people to sea and given them teamwork skills, a sense of self-worth, and self-confidence. In recent years the RSP has expanded to take disabled young people to sea and run voyages for other groups with special needs.

About This Cause

The RSP is a registered charity and a volunteer-based Sail Training Organisation. We run inclusive Sail Training Voyages (STVs) for diverse young people aged 14 to 25 years old. The fee for a five day voyage is only £200 and a seven day voyage costs £245. If you are suffering financial hardship, please contact the office directly for information on what bursary support is available. In addition to sail training voyages for individuals, we also run voyages for school and youth groups as well as therapeutic voyages for groups of vulnerable adults and young people, including those with learning disabilities, mental health issues, in treatment or recovery from substance misuse, and those who are living with chronic conditions. We have opportunities for corporate and private events, which help subsidise the sail training voyages.
