Mission Statement
Youth Aliyah Child Rescue exists to support at risk children in Israel by funding strategic projects in the Youth Villages that they live and learn in, and programmes that follow the Village Way. This enables Israel’s most vulnerable children to heal and to become leaders in their communities and beyond.
About This Cause
Youth Aliyah Child Rescue provides a nurturing home for at risk children in Israel, where they can live, learn and heal together. In Israel today, there are over 400,000 children who do not have a family that can care for them adequately and who are deemed at risk by welfare authorities. Youth Aliyah Child Rescue is stepping up for these vulnerable young people by providing a ladder of opportunity that enables them to climb from a life of poverty, neglect and violence, up towards a bright, successful future as contributing members of society living happy and fulfilling lives. Youth Aliyah Child Rescue empowers thousands of young people every year – including immigrants and children of immigrants from Ethiopia, the former Soviet Union and elsewhere in the world – to live the lives they truly deserve. Rather than seeing them condemned to a lifetime of welfare dependency – perpetuating cycles of abuse and neglect – we provide a warm and supportive home in one of our five youth villages, where children from as young as 5 years old can live together in safety. Through an individualised therapeutic approach, we find the key to unlock each child’s potential, allowing them to heal from their traumatic pasts. Our pioneering educational methodology, which we call the ‘Village Way’, has empowered thousands of young people to live the lives they truly deserve. Graduates of our youth villages experience higher than average employment rates, army leadership roles and matriculation. We rely entirely on donations to fund our villages and programmes. The support we receive from our donors enables thousands of young people every year to make the climb from survival to leadership.
