About This Cause
Based in Tulse Hill, Lambeth, High Trees Community Development Trust was founded by local residents in 1998, we have now been delivering projects and services to local people for 22 years. Rooted in the local community, and guided by community need, we deliver a range of projects and services grouped in four interlinked areas: Children, Young People and Family Services: working on the basis of early intervention, we deliver youth clubs and forums, adventure play (in our Adventure Playground), wellbeing projects, self development programmes, mentoring and youth leadership. Education and Training: running an exciting variety of free courses, including functional skills ICT, English and Maths, ESOL classes, vocational courses, Family Learning, Art and Wellbeing and Community Organising courses. Employment and Careers: offering bespoke one to one employment support, with experienced advisors who are experts in helping those with multiple barriers find work. Community Action: nurturing and capacity building individuals and community groups to empower them to take local action and develop advocacy skills.
