Mission Statement
Balik Arts’ vision is that all disadvantaged children and young people will have access to arts, education and training which broaden their horizons and enhance their knowledge, skills and confidence. All emerging artists have opportunities to develop and exhibit their work.
About This Cause
Balik Arts is a registered charity and non-profit company. We are set up to work with vulnerable and disadvantaged children and young people specialising in provision of education, training and diversion programmes through arts. We aim to : *Increase young people's engagement in their society and create a positive sense of citizenship. * Increase young people's skills and abilities and their future employability * Reduce young people's involvement in anti-social behaviour and crime while using art, especially film, as a medium * Offer opportunities to travel abroad via transnational partnership projects, particularly around film * Bring young people from other countries to the UK via transnational partnership projects, who otherwise would not be able to travel abroad
