About This Cause
We support individuals from the age of 10 upwards across Greater Manchester who have a diagnosis of autism. The social and communication challenges with ASC are well documented and many individuals with ASC struggle to make and maintain healthy friendships. This can lead to social isolation and an increased risk of mental health problems and in some cases make individuals vulnerable to abuse or exploitation. We provide social and leisure activities for individuals with ASC, offering a safe and supportive environment where they can be guided to develop social and communications skills, and meet and socialise with other people with the same issues. In addition to this we also provide an information service for individuals with ASC, their families and carers and professionals, and tailored individual support for adults to assist them in independent living and moving towards or staying in employment, training or volunteering.
