Mission Statement
SCBT is a Registered Charity (1105536) which operates a Community Boat on the Rive Tawe navigation for the benefit of those in need by reason of their youth, old age, vulnerability or disablement. SCBT aims to advance the education of young people and others in regard to the inland waterways of Swansea & Neath Port Talbot, their heritage, their uses and environment.
About This Cause
SCBT is a Registered Charity (1105536) which operates a Community Boat on the Rive Tawe navigation for the benefit of those in need by reason of their youth, old age, vulnerability or disablement. SCBT aims to advance the education of young people and others in regard to the inland waterways of Swansea & Neath Port Talbot, their heritage, their uses and environment. SCBT is run almost entirely by volunteers, and as such welcome new volunteers to help support and run the Community Boat. There are many ways in which you can help SCBT - from making cups of tea/coffee, engineering, outside/inside crew, publicity & marketing, ticket sales, running projects (such as our wildlife surveys), preparing/giving talks, Copperopolis research... the list is endless! Do you need to live/work near Swansea? For many of the tasks, you would need to be close to Swansea. Though there are many tasks which can be performed remotely. If you are able to help in any way, whether that be for short periods of time or for a more regular commitment, please do not hesitate in getting in contact with us.
