To inspire and support disadvantaged young people using music and other creative programmes.
About This Cause
Music4Children is a charity dedicated to improving the lives of children and young people, both in the UK and around the world. We use music and other creative activities as tools to fundraise, educate and heal, working to provide safe creative environments for children and young people under 18 years of age (or 25 years for those with disabilities). Some activities also engage parents and other family members. We provide opportunities and tutors for young people who may not have easy access to them, and work in partnerships to utilise our resources as effectively as possible. We focus our efforts on young people facing additional challenges – such as disability, poverty, or refugee status – and collaborate with established support groups to devise suitable programmes and maximise outreach potential. Our programmes engage these groups in creative and enterprise activities, and are currently delivered in London and Kent, along with support for some international projects. The workshops are free at the point of delivery and directly empower the participants. Expert tuition and support ensure all participants have the best possible experience while they discover and develop their talents, build self-confidence and resilience, and foster a lifelong love for the arts and enterprise.
