About This Cause

The primary purpose of a mosque is a place of worship but a mosque is also a hub of the community and when we say ‘community’ we mean all communities not just from the Islamic faith. Mosques are open, spacious, friendly places which can be utilised by people of all faiths, beliefs and ages, for example, mother and toddler groups, women’s coffee mornings, recreational space for young people (table tennis, table football etc.), a space for community meetings involving Council & Police, inter-faith events, a drop-off point for food banks etc. The Muslim community has a place of worship and all the Neighbourhood has a building which promotes goodwill, harmony and community cohesion.
