Mission Statement
We are fundraising to build and set up a community health centre in M'Pai Bay, Koh Rong Sanloem, Cambodia. This remote community has no medical facility and many very low income families with over 80 children under 11 years.
About This Cause
The RCCF is a foundation that helps promote education, relieve poverty and protect good health amongst children under 18. The project RCCF is supporting here aims to raise funds, to enable building of a health centre for the community of 300 local Cambodian people. We have support from the community chief, and many local people within it. As well as local businesses who exist to support growing tourism in to the remote island of Koh Rong Sanloem - to ensure ongoing funding support. We aim to build a sustainable space for provision of basic health services and for education - to support the health of a remote fishing community of 300 people, over 80 of who are children under 11 years. Level 1: Aims to provide a space for local health team visits & first aid station. Level 2: Aims to identifiy and train local health nurses or advisors, who can assist with first aid, prevention of diseases as well as being ”gatekeepers” for mainland health services. The health centre will be built with the help from local villagers on a specifically allocated plot of land, adjacent to the community school, very central in the village. We invite your support in donations and volunteering as we get set to build from end of 2017, into 2018.
