Mission Statement
RESTART LIVES empowers homeless people to overcome the personal and systemic barriers they are facing and to reach their self-defined goals. From housing and employment, to mental and physical health, we offer wraparound casework and group programmes aimed at empowering each person to take any steps that are right for them. We believe everyone deserves a safe home and that sustainable change is achievable with the right support.
About This Cause
RESTART's primary aim is to help homeless people move from surviving and coping to adapting, changing and thriving. We offer holistic support including: • our Friday night drop (hot meals) - this is at the heart of our community; a safe and inclusive space to enjoy food, build relationships and access support. • physical health programmes (football, boxing - different sports at different times of the year) • mental health programmes (with Mind charity) • group sessions with supporting partners (from Therapy Dogs to Barista Skills Training) • wraparound casework (advice, support, advocacy for guests working through homelessness and other challenges)
