About This Cause

The Plymouth Foodbank is helping people who are in financial crisis by providing them with much needed food and also a listening ear and useful advice. The foodbank operates on a referral system whereby professionals working in education, housing, advice services, health services, charities etc can give vouchers to those in short term financial crisis whilst they help them in various ways themselves.We started the project in 2008 and are part of the Trussell Trust Foodbank network. The Stonehouse part of Plymouth Foodbank is a Project of Plymouth Methodist Mission Circuit Registered Charity Number 1129521. http://www.plymouthcentralhall.co.uk. North Plymouth Community Church run the Foodbank as part of their Reach Project http://theworshipcentre.com/1/reach/ An amazing 325 churches, schools, businesses, staff in all sorts of workplaces, clubs, societies and lots of individuals have collected and donated food. We are very grateful.
