Mission Statement
HIAS+JCORE is the UK Jewish voice on refugees and racial justice. Our vision is for a world free of racism, where displaced people can thrive.
About This Cause
HIAS+JCORE is a new partnership between JCORE (the Jewish Council for Racial Equality) and the international refugee protection agency HIAS. Working together in the UK, we provide the leading Jewish response to refugees and racial justice issues. Our work empowers and creates opportunities for the Jewish community to welcome and support refugees. We’re also proud to join with partners to advocate for a world where displaced people thrive, and which is free of racism. Our activities currently include running JUMP, a befriending project for unaccompanied asylum seekers inspired by the Kindertransport, providing education sessions to schools, youth groups and synagogues, and advocating for a fairer, more compassionate asylum system.
