Mission Statement
St Pancras Old Church is one of the ancient Churches of London. It is open daily as an oasis of peace in the busy city. In the evenings St Pancras is a famous gig-venue hosting up-and -coming artists in an intimate venue. On Sundays and weekdays the mass is celebrated and our church family has many links in the local community as we seek to serve the most vulnerable. Sadly the Grade 2* church building is on the English Heritage At-Risk-Register and we are currently raising money to save this holy site for future generations.
About This Cause
St Pancras Old Church has been a site of Christian worship since the 4th century. It is thought that this church is on a site that has offered worship for more than 1700 years. Fragments of Roman material can still be seen here and there in the fabric of the current building. The monuments and reuse of stone chart the history of the church’s development over time. Today it is a thriving parish church in the Anglo-Catholic tradition of the Church of England. Whilst being proud of our history, we are fully present as part of a vibrant and diverse worshiping community. There is incense and lively preaching at our Sunday morning mass and a thriving Junior Church. The Eucharist is at the heart of our life together and everyone is welcome to join us on Sundays or at our quieter midweek masses.
