Wycliffe's core is transforming lives through the love of Jesus Christ. Our focus is to show love and practical care to the local community here in Reading.
About This Cause
Wycliffe has several programs including: 1. Foodshare at Wycliffe: We do not want soon-expired food (but still perfectly good) to go to the landfill, so the food is collected (majority from the nearby supermarkets including Coop) and distributed to individuals and families in the communities that are in need. Foodshare opens three nights a week, supporting several hundreds of families in the surrounding areas. There is a large team of volunteers including several drivers, servers, and leaders who listen and provide pastoral care to the people in the queue. 2. Coffee & Craft: offer the people in the community (especially those with special needs) a welcoming environment where they can relax and have a meal together while learning something new. Coffee and Craft has been chosen as the charity for our local Coop stores for several years.
