Mission Statement

Constella Music is the creative powerhouse behind the award-winning composer and conductor, Leo Geyer. Constella publishes and performs Geyer’s work spanning opera, dance, film, concert music, and acts as production company for Geyer’s increasing portfolio in broadcast presenting. Collaboration sits at the heart of our organisation, encompassing pioneering professional musicians and dancers, and partnerships with visual artists, poets, historians, garden designers, architects, scientists, healthcare workers and more. The driving energy behind Constella Music is harnessing the expressive power of music for social good.

About This Cause

Constella is currently undertaking a major project to restore and perform long-forgotten music written in Auschwitz, which has resulted in worldwide news coverage. The outputs include a programme BBC Radio 4 and a Sky Arts documentary-film described by the Financial Times it as "profoundly moving" and awarded a Digital Broadcast Award. Constella has also given concert performances of Geyer's restorations in London, Paris, and Amsterdam, and released a recording on YouTube. Finally, the project culminated in the opera-ballet production The Lost Music of Auschwitz, which Constella premiered in June 2025 with choreography by Claudia Schreier. Constella is currently fundraising to finance the tour of the stage production. The story of the holocaust is fading out of living memory fast. We want to bring the story about the orchestras of Auschwitz to a wide and diverse audiences in Europe and the US. Constella is also embarking on a new project: a 400-part motet to be premiered at Exeter Cathedral in 2026. Inspired by Thomas Tallis’s 40-part motet, this ambitious new work by Geyer will involve 400 musicians, each with their own independent part. At Constella, we believe everyone has the right to enjoy and participate in music. Our award-winning virtual performance program, Connecting Stars, has provided over 2,000 bespoke music and dance performances for the UK’s most vulnerable individuals. As part of this initiative, we are delivering a program for students and emerging artists to increase access for diverse young people entering the performing arts. This year also marks the founding of the Constella Philharmonic, a new orchestra that offers non-professional musicians opportunities to participate in professional-level performances.
