Mission Statement
Action This Day Kenya (ATDK) is a UK registered charity. Until the end of 2018, ATDK funded 3 projects in Mombasa, Kenya - the Kookaburra Community School, Kookaburra House and the Kookaburra Graduate Programme. These projects helped incredibly poor and disadvantaged children to break the cycle of poverty through education and provided a safe haven for children at risk of abuse. Due to a lack of funding, Kookaburra House and the Kookaburra Community School have now closed with effect from the end of 2018 and the Kookaburra Graduate Programme is winding down. We will keep the Graduate Programme running until all those supported by the Programme and currently in high school have completed their high school education. These pupils have already been matched with individual sponsors who fund their high school education.
