Mission Statement
We aim to provide high-quality, holistic education aligned with the Rwandan CBC Curriculum to vulnerable children from low-income backgrounds to give them opportunities to flourish and prosper.
About This Cause
EDD’s journey began in 2002 as a street kid program under the name Les Enfant De Dieu. Our mission was to rehabilitate and reintegrate children back into society, providing them with the necessary tools to lead fulfilling lives. Over the years, we successfully guided 700 children through our program, empowering them to overcome adversity and create a brighter future for themselves. In 2020, we underwent a significant transformation, leading to a change in our organization’s name to Empower Develop Dignify. However, we decided to keep the original acronym, EDD, as a testament to our roots and the impact we had made as Les Enfant De Dieu. Driven by our unwavering commitment to making a difference, we embarked on a new project focused on education. This marked the birth of our Early Childhood Development (ECD) program, aimed at providing young children with a solid foundation for their educational journey. Recognizing the vital role of primary education, we expanded our efforts to include a primary project, ensuring that children have access to quality education throughout their formative years.
