About This Cause
Clowns Without Borders is a registered charity that provides laughter and relief to children in war-torn areas. We are committed to bringing joy, hope, and healing through the power of play. For children living through the aftermath of war or natural disaster, play is more than just a pastime. It’s a vital activity that helps support their emotional wellbeing at a critical moment. Creating safe and supportive opportunities for play helps children cope with uncertainty and fear. Clowns Without Borders UK are experts in using play to help children emotionally recover from conflict and displacement. Since 2014, we have shared laughter and play with over 55,000 children in fourteen of countries around the world. And our work doesn't stop there. Wherever we go, we support and train others to use play-based approaches to build children’s resilience and healthy emotional development. Children at the heart of everything we do. This is why they are included in developing the services we provide. It enables us to ‘see through children’s eyes’ and provide the most meaningful and joyful programmes possible. We also work with local and international teams of highly skilled creative professionals, drama therapists and child development specialists to create the most impactful (and joyful) programmes possible.
