About This Cause
You can't be what you can't see. Role models are so important to us all, but even more so when you are in education, trying to discover your career options and make important choices. In fact, research shows that students who experience four or more business role model encounters are five times less likely to be not in education, employment or training when they leave school. Founders4Schools (F4S) is a careers education charity which improves the employment prospects of people under the age of 25 by ensuring these business role model encounters are accessible to all, without barriers. We make it easy for educators to provide these experiences for their students within the classroom or virtually through our free online platform which connects them with volunteer role models in a matter of minutes. We also host our own free online events to make careers inspiration accessible directly to young people and provide a catalogue of on-demand sessions on our YouTube channel as an ongoing careers education resource. We are on a mission to reduce the skills gap by facilitating and assisting the provision of inspirational careers education to the next generation. Through our services we connect them with a diverse network of role models, educating them on the huge range of career pathways available, raising their aspirations, instilling self-belief, and offering insight into the rapid changes in the emerging world of work. Through these encounters we also promote social mobility, reduce gender bias and provide equal access to prosperous careers, levelling the playing field for the young people who need us most.
