About This Cause
So many people in the UK do care about those in need and are well aware of food waste. The challenge, therefore, is the very practical one of matching the surplus with the want. City Harvest helps to provide convenient, safe and cost effective ways for food businesses to get their unsold nutritious food to those in need by distributing to charities around London who provide meals to the hungry. City Harvest's cost effective method of directing edible food to people instead of landfill means that a £10 donation to City Harvest helps deliver 40 highly nutritious meals to those in need.
