Mission Statement
Libraries Unlimited believes in enabling everyone to connect to and explore the wider world. We offer welcoming spaces throughout Devon and Torbay which give everyone access to books and a wealth of digital resources, as well as free computer use and WiFi connection. With hundreds of active groups and a year-round calendar of events, we encourage and support everyone to realise their potential and improve their health and wellbeing. By supporting our customers we build communities, enriching lives with ideas, information and inspiration.
About This Cause
Created in 2016, Libraries Unlimited is the charity which runs the public library service in Devon and Torbay. We are a company limited by guarantee with charitable status, commissioned by Devon County Council and Torbay Council, and drawing extra support from a variety of funders, partners and collaborators. Since our inception we’ve proven to be a ground-breaking model for running libraries in the UK, bringing ideas, imagination, creativity and knowledge to enrich people’s lives and build thriving communities. We do this by: Promoting a love of reading Providing free access to resources and information Inspiring everyone to learn, create and realise their potential Enabling everyone to explore and connect to the wider world Offering welcoming spaces Supporting the health and wellbeing of individuals and communities.
