Mission Statement
Established in March 2021, United By 2022 was set up as the official legacy vehicle for the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games. The Games has sparked economic and social change in the West Midlands, recast a bolder identity for Birmingham and created vital unity amongst our people. The future feels brighter. United By 2022 (UB22) will be the active glue that keeps this momentum going for a decade. When the OC powers down, UB22 offers continuity linked to the Games pillars: it will work to maintain positive strategic relationships across the city and region, because we have seen what we can achieve when we work together.
About This Cause
United By 2022 Charity champions the West Midlands, driving inclusive growth and social value by uniting local businesses with local communities, to keep that 2022 feeling of pride alive. Our vision is to make the West Midlands a centre of excellence for community engagement, social value and volunteering.
