Mission Statement
Empowering children through community and play
About This Cause
Seven Hills Foundation (SHF) is a London-based charity raising funds to support primary school-level children at risk of poverty in Naguru Godown slum in Kampala, Uganda. It is a charity that was co-founded by a ZSer, Jens Sudmeier, and has been on the Benevity Donation Match platform for the past two years. Jens and Gloria founded SHF after living and working as consultants in Uganda (2019-20), where we worked closely with our our colleague’s NGO in the Naguru Godown slum in Kampala. We operate locally in the slum, directly supporting and empowering 105 children in this vulnerable community through structured educational and developmental programmes through arts, sports, counseling and entrepreneurship. Our method - The Resource Centre As the only charity operating a physicial location in the slum (what we call 'Resource Centre'), we provide the following services: 1. A Saturday Programme, which includes weekly recreational and personal development activities, as well as quarterly vocational and entrepreneurial workshops. 2. Weekly drop-in sessions, where children, caretakers, and other community members can come during the week to discuss individual needs For more information, feel free to take a look at our current fundraising deck with additional information on funding goals, our activities, and impact so far - in numbers and pictures: https://tinyurl.com/SHF-Fundraising-Deck Our goal for our reporting period 2024-25: Prior to our financial year-end (Sep 2025), we are looking to fundraise £7,371 to run the weekly Saturday Programme activities and weekly individualised support at our Resource Centre.
