Mission Statement

The national charity that supports prisoners, people with convictions and their families. Our mission is to support prisoners and their families to make a fresh start and to minimise the harm that can be caused by imprisonment on people who have committed offences, families and communities.

About This Cause

Pact run services in over 50 prisons across England and Wales, as well as community based services. What we do: - Build stronger families and safer communities. - Reduce the risk of harm to prisoners and their children. - Remove barriers and increase awareness in public services. - Influence commissioning, policy and legislation. We provide a range of services to support people on their journey through the criminal justice system, including: - Court and community family support. - Prison-based family engagement workers. - Family prison visitors' centres. - In-prison family support, supervised play, catering and enhanced family activities. - Prison and community based relationship and parenting programmes. - 'Through the Gate' and community based mentoring and befriending programmes. - National helpline and digital information service.
