Mission Statement

The RBL provides lifelong support to the Armed Forces community, offering expert advice and guidance, support through recovery, and assistance with transitioning to civilian life. The charity is there for the Armed Forces community throughout their lives, whenever they need it, providing a vital lifeline for serving personnel, veterans, and their families, and supporting them in the face of hardships, injuries, and bereavements. Our purpose and mission are to bring together our nations, communities, and individuals to create better futures for the Armed Forces community and their families.

About This Cause

The Royal British Legion (RBL) is the UK’s largest charity dedicated to supporting the Armed Forces community, past and present, and their families. As the champion of Remembrance, the RBL safeguards the Armed Forces Covenant and is widely recognised for the annual Poppy Appeal and its iconic red poppy emblem. The RBL’s work is built around three core pillars: - Providing services and support to the Armed Forces community - Campaigning for the rights of veterans and their families - Remembering those who have served and sacrificed The charity offers comprehensive support across a range of areas, including physical and mental health, housing, financial assistance, mobility, independent living, employment, and care.
