Our mission is to ensure that individuals with learning disabilities, mental or physical support needs have the opportunity to live their lives to the full.
About This Cause
United Response is a top 100 charity committed to making life better for people with disabilities and mental health needs. We combine high quality care with influential national campaigns that challenge inequality and throw a positive light on the achievements and everyday lives of the people we support. We support people with mild and profound learning disabilities, Autism, Asperger’s Syndrome, physical disabilities and mental health needs. We are particularly renowned for our specialist work with people who have complex needs, challenging behaviour or a dual diagnosis of learning disability and mental health needs. United Response support people wherever they want, with whatever it is that makes them feel happy, safe and in control of their lives. As well as small, person-centred residential care homes, we now support more people to live independently in their homes through our supported living services. Some of the people we support thrive on living independently, only needing our help to stay on top of housework, bills and medical appointments. For others, we’re on call 24 hours a day, delivering top-notch support that encourages everyone – no matter how complex their needs – to participate meaningfully in all aspects of their life.
