MSI Reproductive Choices helps women to have children by choice, not chance.
About This Cause
Every year millions of women fall pregnant unintentionally, and 289,000 die from pregnancy-related causes - most of them in developing countries. Without a safe and legal way to end their pregnancy, almost 22 million resort to a life-threatening unsafe abortion – up to 44,000 women will die this way. Even for those that avoid childbirth complications, the impact of having several pregnancies in quick succession can lock women into a life of ill health and extreme poverty. They can struggle to keep all their children healthy, fed and schooled, and many are unable to pursue their own education and careers. At MSI Reproductive Choices we don’t do one-size fits all. We keep our clients at the centre of everything we do - striving to understand their unique challenges, and tailoring our services and approach accordingly. Our services change lives, enabling people to plan their families and futures. The core services we provide are contraception, safe abortion (where abortion is legally permitted) and post-abortion care in urban and rural communities all over the world.
