THE MARINE SOCIETY AND SEA CADETS

LONDON, England, SE1 7JW United Kingdom

Mission Statement

Sea Cadets is a national, nautical youth charity enabling young people from 10-18 to expand their horizons on the water and in land by taking part in life-changing adventures. As many as 6,000 of our cadets are in parts of the UK gripped by social deprivation. The bursaries we offer ensure that we can offer the Sea Cadet experience to young people from all around the country, regardless of their economic background.

About This Cause

Sea Cadets offers young people a safe place to try new activities and develop skills. Away from external pressures they can build new friendships and meet new challenges head on, whilst simultaneously acquiring qualifications that can give them a head start in life. Thanks to our 9,000 volunteers, our cadets are introduced to a huge range of water sports such as windsurfing, powerboating, rowing and sailing, all at an affordable costs. By introducing them to often new and always exciting activities, Sea Cadets boosts the confidence and self esteem of young people.
