Mission Statement

Alzheimer Scotland provides a wide range of specialist services for people with dementia and their carers. We offer personalised support services, community activities, information and advice, at every stage of the dementia journey.

About This Cause

There is no cure for dementia. However, with the right level of therapeutic engagement, practical advice, emotional support and social interaction people with dementia can live independent lives in their communities, close to the ones they love for longer. Alzheimer Scotland provide: • Freephone 24 hour dementia helpline • Network of Dementia Advisors and Nurses across Scotland • Day Care, information and support services in communities throughout Scotland • Reminiscence networks, the Alzheimer Scotland Dementia Research Centre and Brain Tissue Bank “It’s not just the forgetting things that’s hard.
