About This Cause
Leuchie House is a national charity dedicated to supporting people living with a neurological condition such as multiple sclerosis, Parkinson’s, motor neurone disease and the effects of stroke through individualised short respite breaks and other support services. We offer more than just a change of caring environment. Our 24-hour nursing and care team enable our guests to enjoy a full programme of in-house activities, entertainment and outings in our wheelchair accessible vehicles, as well as freshly prepared meals. Our allied health team of nurses, physiotherapists and occupational therapists also offer a range of services to help our guests manage their condition, maximise their independence and identify health concerns before they become an issue, enhancing and extending the impact of their break long after they’ve returned home. Leuchie’s short breaks are provided over 4, 7 and 11 nights. We also run a Day Respite service, fully accessible self-catering holiday home and Centre for Enabling Technology. We are the ONLY service of our kind in Scotland. The families we support travel from 28 of Scotland's 32 local authority areas and 13 local authority areas in England and Wales just to access a break that can meet their needs.
