About This Cause
Over the last year, we have successfully established a base in Aberdeenshire which can offer individuals suffering from mental health issues the opportunity to speak to trained volunteers when they most need it. Shirley's Space is a free walk-in centre, offering individuals the ability to have a discreet and non-stigmatising route to potential help. Within the facility are trained counsellors and volunteers who will offer users an opportunity to discuss their issues and arrange a plan to prevent the problem growing. We know that it is a big step to reach out and talk, but we are here for you if you just need a chat; someone to listen, or simply a little 'timeout' to collect your thoughts and breathe.
