About This Cause
Since 1974 Crossroads has specialized in residential treatment services for women with addiction and mental health disorders. Our gender-responsive treatment model includes using a trauma informed approach that allows clients to feel safe and respected during their treatment stay. Today we offer 2 primary residential treatment programs for women and an outpatient treatment center that serves adult men and women. Our Children and Mothers Program in Windham, Maine is the state's only primary residential treatment program for pregnant and parenting women. This unique residential program treats women at any stage of their pregnancy and is designed for women with children ages 0-5 to enter treatment with their mothers. There is an onsite daycare center for the clients in this program that supports moms and their children for 28-60 days. The Back Cove Women's Residential Program in Portland, Maine treats women with co-occurring eating disorders and addiction. Again, this is the only residential treatment program in the state of Maine that serves women with eating disorders. Our outpatient treatment center in Scarborough, Maine has 2 partial hospitalization programs for women only- one for substance use disorders and one for eating disorders. We also provide intensive outpatient programs for women with substance use disorders and eating disorders. Men and women can receive individual counseling for substance use, eating disorders and mental health disorders.
