About This Cause
Indiana Sheltie Rescue, Inc.is a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation consisting of a small group of volunteers who have come together to help homeless shelties. We are always looking for additional volunteers, and capable and loving foster homes to offer a temporary safe haven to Shetland Sheepdogs. Our shelties make their way into our program as owner surrenders, shelter dogs, or are found as strays by caring individuals. Many of our Shelties are older and surrendered to us due to their owners no longer being able to care for them or because the owner has passed away. We provide foster homes and medical care for the Shelties that we take in and our ultimate goal is to eventually adopt them to a permanent home. For the animals that are too sick to adopt we keep them permanently in a foster home and they are made comfortable and loved until they leave this world. We appreciate any and all donations. Your donations make it possible for us to properly care for these lovely dogs.
